The people behind the company:
At the core of Beezoe stands Nivia, Biochemical Pharmacist with more than 27 years of experience in apiculture and propolis research.
Quality control specialist
She is a specialist in quality control. Her scientific work includes multiple international publications, including studies on the effects of propolis in cancer research and other health-related fields.
Food safety and quality systems
Nivia has extensive expertise in food safety and quality systems, holding senior certification in HACCP. She has worked as an instructor for the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, where she trained federal inspectors in beekeeping warehouse inspection and international legislation.
Standards and legislation
Nivia played a key role in establishing Brazil’s official Standards of Identity and Quality for Bee Products. She also participated in important legislation supporting artisanal producers and family farmers.
Innovation and sustainability
Beyond research, Nivia is strongly committed to social and environmental responsibility. As a consultant for the Ministry of Social Integration, she supported rural development projects in Minas Gerais and Bahia, helping families build sustainable livelihoods through beekeeping—while protecting rivers, forests, and biodiversity.

In 2021, she received the Special Recognition Award at the BRICS Women Innovation Contest for her contributions to innovation and sustainability.
